Dezz:
Many refer to her as the Queen of Oklahoma Hip-Hop. She’s earned the title by intentionally being active in the scene for years and always making herself an available resource for artists in the community. Desiree Yearby, aka Dezz, aka Dezzgotsteeze staked her claim as a cultural ambassador at the age of 16 when she joined The Puzzle People collective. Since then she’s gone on to produce fashion shows, host various musical events, manage social media, and serve as a consultant to some of Oklahoma’s most influential creatives. Dezz doesn’t stop there with her diverse set of interests. She flexes her skills for local publications including her own site (GotSteeze.net) where she focuses on hip-hop in the Midwest and creating community between in the hip-hop community in the entire state and only female speaker on Oklahoma Hip-hop Podcast (Tha Rap Podcast). In addition, she contributes serving on a slew of advisory boards aimed at benefiting the youth of Oklahoma City and serves on committees of many Oklahoma Festivals such as Jabeepalooza, PlazaFest, and World Culture music festival.

After graduating and working at Bumbershoot PR for a few months, she has been a freelance publicist and social media manager for restaurants, bands, artists and nonprofits in Oklahoma City and Norman. She is also a graduate of the Oklahoma Arts Council Leadership Arts program.
